FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

(1) What type of manifolds are manufactured at DPR? What are the working pressure limits? What are the temperature limits?

DPR offers a wide range of custom, high-pressure manifolds, including mud, rig floor (standpipe), mud pump discharge, kill, fracking, and cement manifolds. These manifolds offer working pressures from 5,000 to 20,000 psi and the ability to withstand temperatures from -20° to 250°F. We also can provide various choke manifold components.

(2) What high-pressure fittings are used specifically on DPR manifolds? What are the working pressure limits? What are the temperature limits?

Our high-pressure fittings are as varied as our manifolds, offering working pressures from 5,000 to 20,000 psi and the ability to withstand temperatures from -20° to 250°F. They include valves, unions, blocks, mudline manifold fittings, tees, elbows (90° and 45°), standpipe goosenecks, Chiksan swings, lateral tees, and flanges. Additionally, we also offer ultra high-pressure fittings. Designed for operating pressures of 7,500, 10,000 and 15,000 psi, these full flow, high-pressure fittings are machined by DPR from steel castings that meet ASME SA487 4D standards. They are available in six styles and are offered individually and in fabricated assemblies.

(3) What size high-pressure piping is used?

For high-pressure systems we use piping that ranges from 2″ to 7″, depending on the application.

(4) What makes your mud fittings exclusive?

The fact that every single one is 100% U.S. made. Using only domestic components means that our mud fittings’ quality is higher, their performance is more reliable, and traceability is not an issue. Our competitors – many of whom use internationally sourced components for their mud fittings – can’t say the same.

(5) Is DPR a distributor of Cameron branded valves? If so, which valves do you stock?

DPR has been an authorized Cameron distributor for decades, carrying Cameron’s Demco brand gate, butterfly and relief valves in 2″, 3″ and 5″ sizes. As a valued Cameron partner, we carry extensive Demco inventory. This allows us to deliver Demco valves in days, not weeks

(6) Is DPR a distributor for TechnipFMC?

Yes. We carry an extensive inventory in components from TechnipFMC, including Weco® valves and unions and Chiksan® swivel joints. TechnipFMC will not take accept customer orders directly; all TechnipFMC products must be purchased through their distributor network.

(7) Is DPR a distributor for Kemper?

We are. As an exclusive distributor for Kemper Flow Line Service and Stimulation products, we carry a wide-ranging Kemper inventory. It includes their swivel joints, extra heavy-duty tees, integral fittings, safety relief valves, hose loops, union crossovers, union swages, pup joints, 45° laterals and check valves.

(8) Can DPR meet "ABS" or "DNV" specifications?

We can and we do. At DPR, we pride ourselves on our record of compliance with both these certification bodies. Det Norske Veritas (DNV) is responsible for setting international standards that safeguard life, property and the environment for offshore oil and gas exploration. In fact, Sixty-five percent of the world’s offshore installation pipelines are designed and installed to DNV technical standards. Similarly, the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) develops and verifies standards for the design, construction and operational maintenance of offshore installation drilling and production units. DPR has a 100% compliance record with both these groups

(9) Are assemblies designed to meet API 6A and ASME B31.3 specs?

Yes. DPR assemblies meet API 6A specs that set performance, interchangeability, design, materials, testing, inspection, welding, marking and other standards for wellhead and Christmas tree equipment used in the oil and gas industry. Our assemblies also meet ASME B31.3 standards for process piping in petroleum refineries.
